After watching the previous video, write a paragraph (min. 5 sentences) explaining how ice cores are used to study past climate change.
Each of you have been given a piece of evidence of past climate change. Take 10 minutes to research your assigned evidence and write a minimum of 5 sentences explaining how scientists use this kind of evidence to understand past climate change.
What are some factors that can affect the climate of a region. In other words, why are there different climates around the World? What causes these differences?
Think of as many factors as possible. “Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get.”
Using your knowledge of weather and climate explain what Mark Twain is saying. In the video, several analogies were made to describe the difference between Climate and Weather. For example, one said that "weather is the fantastic dress I'm wearing, and climate is my wardrobe." Write your own analogy. You may NOT use one of the ones from the video or one that has already been posted.

You are a building engineer and you have been asked to design a 10 story building that will be able to withstand earthquakes in areas like Japan and Chile. How would you create this building so that it does not collapse during an earthquake?
After the debate, answer the following questions. Be as detailed and honest as possible. The quality of your reflection will be graded as part of your debate grade.
